So. I’m 300 pages in and while I don’t mind the slow narrative pace per sé, I can’t help but feel that more story development and character development should have been accomplished by now. And while I don’t mind continuing, I don’t know if I’m setting myself up for frustration since the story will likely end in a cliffhanger, and I’m not sure I am interested enough to want to read the sequel.

It was all going great but now she keeps apologizing and I don’t understand why, and they keep referring to what she did and what he did and I don’t know what those things are!?
I’ve been reading this whole time, why did I miss???
