Books need to have content warnings these days, like any other media. I did not expect to read badly written porn scenes when I picked this book.

“Oh, you know, I’m a gross stepfather getting a blow job from my nineteen-year-old stepdaughter, or I’m the stepdaughter, getting tucked in. Or I’m flipping back and forth between them. There’s a lot of special tucking in involving boners.” - it’s not erotic, it’s not attractive, it’s not emotional. It’s gross. Repulsive. Unnecessary detailed and over shared. I don’t see a point of writing such descriptions.

I never wanted to drop reading a book this fast, this is probably a record.

“While I waited for his reply I touched myself, imagining the paunchy, bearded photographer jerking off in his black Subaru hatchback, my naked body glowing on his tiny camera screen. I came twice, the second time to a clapping noise, his paunch slapping my stomach. I wiped my fingers on my T-shirt and checked my phone.” - WTF?! I don’t mind erotica, but this is so random, so out of place, and so badly written

“I had booked a room at the Carlyle and then, on Saturday at four o’clock I had sent naked selfies to all my New York friends. We regularly send these, along with pictures of our kids and pets—it’s just part of keeping in touch these days” - No, author, sending nudes along with photos of your pets and KIDS is not a normal way of staying in touch with your friends. What the actual fuck… 1 star just for this depravity.

First impression - ramble nothing burger. Author threw names at me, made few bold pretentious statements, and I’m like - who are these people and why should I care about them? Not a good beginning of the story. It’s like starting to watch a show mid-season, you exposed to situation without explanation what’s going on and who are all these people. I hate when authors doing this.
