Dark Tower reference! This book has Stephen King all over it, and maybe I was a bit mistaken comparing it to the shining when it is a bit more Dark Tower related. All these portals to different worlds it makes sense!

Vic is in trouble. The gasmask man, very reminiscent of the trashcan man from ‘The Stand’ has gotten the Wraith back and Mr. Manx too. They’ve lived in next door and seem to have their eyes on Vic and her son.
Also Bing is so fucking gross jesus

Well that intersection happened sooner than I thought it would, Vic found her bike and used it to look for trouble. What she found was Charlie Manx and he gave her plenty of trouble, she narrowly escaped and it seems like he’s been caught! This is giving me big Stephen King vibes almost like it’s an ode to the shining in a way.

The Brat, Victoria McQueen, has been taking the old abandoned covered bridge otherwise known as ‘the shorter way’ for quite awhile to find missing items. This portal seems to have quite a bit in common with Christmasland and I forsee some intersections between the two before the story is over.

Seems trippy so far, haven’t had a lot of time to read it but what I’m gathering so far is that this is some kind of alternate reality situation or even multiple dimensions. We shall see how it plays out
