Language really is crazy when you think about it. It is how you’re able to contextualize and understand your reality. The “educated” Alphas and Betas have feelings that they have no idea how to express which makes them less dangerous, while the savage through reading Shakespeare is able to express deep and complicated thoughts and emotions that can poke holes in and destroy the entire fabric of this society

Everyone is religious. If someone says they’re not, they don’t know what they’re worshipping. Therefore the state supplants that psychological need with a shallow, bastardized version.

Also insert Orwell quote about woman being the most bigoted adherents to the party and the swallower of slogans.
