Already highly intrigued. Shouldn't have waiting so long to indulge in Tolstoy, but better late than never. I am already a quite a fan of Levin.

'Can this be faith?' He wondered, afraid to believe his happiness. 'My God, thank you!' he said, choking back the rising sobs and with both hands wiping away the tears that filled his eyes.
Just a few pages left, and here, at this very moment in the story of Levin, I am so strongly moved, as that moment of faith's blossoming is so familiar to me.

A most palpable portrayal of life in this fallen, decaying world. Konstantin Levin, though a very simple and simply depicted man, is one of my favorite characters in literature.

Tolstoy really captures the insufferable superficiality of socialites quite aptly. I'm not sure I've ever wanted to smack so many people when reading a book before, specifically for their treatment of Levin, who is clearly my brother.
