Epilogue: Linjing doesn't die, she moves to Hong Kong (a more progressive but still behind part of China) and she becomes a teacher, inspiring young girls to want more. Little Flower and Noble live in love with each other, also having moved away. Noble is getting promoted and providing for LF, giving her the life he promised, LJ and LF think of eachother <3

48: LF is drowned then Noble shows up, he gets her out of the water and the cage, and brings her back to life hank god, but Noble's family is behind him saying that LF needs to be burned for being a fox spirit and seducing him, Linjing holds a knife to her throat threatening to die and come back and haunt the village if harm is brought to LF or noble, she cuts her throat and is reunited with her mother's spirit..

47: before LF is about to be drowned, she is told the lore of the sisterhood and that women had to die for it to even exist, so that is why her death must commence and they can't make exceptions. she is being walked to the river with her hands bound, a crowd surrounds her and throws garbage at her, she is put in a cage about to be drowned. noble has not come for her

46: LF is set to be drowned in 3 hours when LJ comes to see her and throws a pity party, saying all the things "LF did to her" to cause her desparation, but LF gives literally an oscar-winning performance telling LJ all the ways she's destroyed LF's life, for selfish gain. LJ sees the light and runs to Noble to try and save LF before her death

45: Little Flower runs back to the nunnery away from noble, but is found by Linjing. LJ is too caught up in her grief and her jealousy that she drags LF in to see the head nun even though LF is telling her she will be drowned and to please show her mercy. LJ says "if I can't have him, neither can you."

44: LJ has lost herself in her selfish grief over Noble, LF has agreed to run away with Noble secretly. before they go, the nunnery sees a play and via the play, LF realizes that Noble is not worthy of her love just like the characters in the play. they go off to a boat and have a fake wedding (just the two of them) and they make love, but after LF tells him that is all and she rejects his offer and leaves

43: Noble tells LF he heard about the shaman and he asks what has really happened to her. she tells him the parts of her story that belong to her (<3) and he loves her all the more for it. his offer still stands to take her away and for her to live as his mistress, but she is just so sad that if she accepts she will always live in the shadows, and if they have kids they will never have claims to anything

42: a shaman comes to the nunnery to run tests on LF to see if she's a fox spirit, she passes the first few tests, but the last one is to see her feet. she fails that test and is accused because her feet are deformed, but because of her golden lilies being taken away and her feet not healing properly. she begs LJ to back her up since she knows the truth, but LJ doesn't, wanting LF to pay "for taking Noble" from her

41: noble's wife begs LF to give his heart back to her, LF is accused of being a fox spirit who seduced her husband bc it could just never be the case that he fell for LF, rumors about LF and Noble are spreading and people are getting the wrong idea.. (bad for LF)

40: LJ going back REAL quick to not viewing LF as an equal, (after asking to be friends bffr) LJ also being delulu about noble and thinking LF stole noble?? she searches LFs room and finds the same jade knot noble had and in the midst of her almost suicidal mania, she plans to make LF pay for him falling in love w LF and not her...
