I saw it's a morally grey pirate fmc and clueless prince mmc and I got curious. Is there a romance or is it mostly adventure / political intrigue? I don't mind either way, just wondering what kind of fantasy to expect.
Oh, there is romance, don’t worry! ( ͡◉ ͜ ʖ ͡◉) I genuinely can’t read anything without romance unless it’s middle grade. Just a heads-up, though, it’s very YA coded despite Lucian being ((25)). He falls first, he’s extremely polite about it, and nothing explicit happens at all lol
Yeah I don't mind any spice level, as long as the story flows well. From my recent reads for example The Legend of the Nine-Tailed Fox had no spice, just a kiss here and there and some biting (she's a monster alright?), but no actual sex. And I still liked it more than the author's previous book that had some open door scenes, because the plot was composed better. And yeah, I read quite a few YA fantasy too.
Love it when an author didn't push unnecessary sex scene just to please readers, I'll add the book to my tbr! Happy reading ( • ‿ • )
