The writing style is really frustrating, especially the characters voices. Vanessa is one dimensional in her obsession with her ex-husband. The voice of Nellie is just as infuriating, no depth; she’s just young and head over heels in love trying to hide a mysterious past. I know I’m not even a quarter of a way into the book yet, but it’s all feeling a little like I’ve heard this all before
