I’ve been crying a lot and getting sad a lot over this book.
just so relatable to my own life experiences as a gay kid, gay teen, being different and a gay adult trying to navigate life and society that still treats you like you’re a freak.
Reading this also made me miss my best friend so much and I’m so grateful our relationship survived 2025.

I’m absolutely devastated right now. Every line I read about being different is hitting so hard. Being robbed of being treated the same as everyone else because everyone viewed you as different, it’s an experience I know all too well. I didn’t have community when I was figuring myself out at the age, I didn’t get that community until I graduated HS. I’m glad I have it now but it’s sad it took so long.
