During the job interview Changez was told that he had a temper after snapping at the interviewer because he kept asking questions about how international students get treated differently in the financial aid process.I could relate to this because I have been told the same thing before and how I can have a temper and get very short with people in many different situations.I have had a temper since the day I was born.

When Changez saw the first plane hit the world trait center tower it said that he showed a slight smile when it happened.my thinking about why he smiled was that he is from Pakistan and the religion they practice is Muslaniam and the muslims were the ones who attacked the towers on 9/11 so maybe he knew it was the muslims the whole time. I also think he didn’t know how serious it was at the time.

After 911 occured Changez was going through security and they did a personal check 2 separate times and that goes to show how serious the security got in airports after 911 happened. I agree with Changez because when I go to the airport I find it very repetitive and time consuming when you have to go through security. I at least appreciate it though because they are making sure everyone is safe during their travels.

Changez was compared to a lioness in his interview. I could relate to that because a lot of the time I have gotten compared to things that I am not similar to in my life. I feel like a lot of the time I get misunderstood. Changez got labeled as a strong and sleek person. I'm not saying being strong or sleek is bad, in fact they are good things but I'm saying I get misunderstood a lot of the time.

Towards the end of the reading when It talked about how Uncle Frank committed suicide and I was very surprised that he did that, It talked about how he was under a lot of pressure when Wes arrested him. I think that Uncle Frank was trying to avoid the trouble he was going to get into because of all the things he did throughout the reading like molesting little Indian girls and all the other things he did.

When I was reading one of the paragraphs it talked about how Uncle Frank was basically imprisoned underneath the family and was living under them on page 115. It mentioned after talking a little more about how Uncle Frank was in the house when Marie died and that a murderer could just be in the same house as them and living under me as we speak. I made a connection because I wouldn’t want a killer to live beneath me.

During the reading on page 101 I was surprised that Uncle Frank’s new prison cell was the family's basement. After reading more I started to understand why it was his jail cell because it brought up how it would be very embarrassing if the officer arresting his brother and brought him to jail. Another reason why it makes sense is that the Uncle Frank's family would get very mad and they would try to bail him out.

During this chapter I was surprised how Marie died in an instant and how it came out of nowhere. I think that Uncle Frank was involved in how Marie died because Davie talks about how he saw Uncle Frank in their house right before she died. I think that Uncle Frank was involved in how Marie died and I am curious to see how this plays out and how Wes deals with this information.

In the reading, I noticed that Uncle Frank and Ollie Young Bear were described with similar, positive characteristics. Uncle Frank is described as a war hero, handsome, athletic, and respected by the white community. But there is a secret dark side to Uncle Frank that paints a different picture. I wonder if Ollie Young Bear has something he is hiding as well. I am looking forward to reading how this plays out.

I made a connection when the book mentioned how the lady they were talking about likes honey and has a sweet tooth for it, I made a connection to this because when I sat at Ms. Cruisburg's table and I tried her special honey she gets from a farm and I really found a love for it when I spread it on my toast with butter and honey. I also drink tea mixed with honey when I'm not feeling well or if I have a sore throat.
