I have so very violent fantasies about the ways I’d like to crush that nasty old despicable man into gory pulps beyond recognition of human remains.
Oh, the ways I wanna use graviturgy to fuck up Trent Icky-thong……….
But alas, the evil bastard would want to go in a spectacle and I understand the power in relenting to give him what he wants… still… the hate burns… ooohhhh this nasty man

Okay so while having the same illustration artist as Yasha’s, Nott’s story has a different colour artist and I think that helped the artstyle a lot. This one had way more distinct and readable backgrounds and foreground focuses. I liked the style more for Nott The Brave.

«How would you like to get out of here, Nott the Brave?» uhuuuu these two🥹😩
Gods, yeah this story is as climactic as always - it lends itself so well to a cinematic narrative and visual storytelling. Good solid story beats.
Caleb’s book is artfully illustrated, very life-like, but still surprisingly modest to its content?
Expected to see more detailed gore/body horror and violence than it showed tbh

WOW IS THIS EVEN MORE EXPLICIT THAN I EXPECTED !
like i knew there was gonna be fooling around but woah !! straight up !! fuckin’!!
yet not a single nipple in sight, all artfully covered up. wow
delightfully contrasting panels on this page though, wonderfully cinematic, reads like movie cuts

Bren looks a little like Beast/the Prince in Disney’s Beauty and The Beast, esp in this last panel

Hm.
To begin, I was surprised to see that each book has different artists, I missed that detail! Interesting and even fitting art-style choice for Yasha’s aesthetic, though for me the story suffered a bit for it.
I found the art hard to read at times, especially in the beginning. Maybe just not my cuppa tea.
Shame, as Yasha’s story has much to explore.
They got her hair right though, which I appreciate.

Okay okay okay!
Jester Lavorre down!
They def lessened the lonely child and ‘imaginary? childhood friend’ aspect, but it looks gorgeous so I’ll take it.
Funny that the comic book has made the Traveller less imaginary, and the animated adaptation has made him more so.
Yasha next!!
