I feel really bad for The Narrator,
his life seems miserable. Tyler is such a bad influence on The Narrator, it’s like he’s The Narrator’s intrusive thoughts (and he basically is). Again I have to praise Chuck’s writing, the way the book is structured makes it so easy to slip into The Narrators mindset, you can slowly see how he’s getting more and more deranged which coincides with Tyler appearing more.

He’s finally realised that he is Tyler!! The way it all added up and how people kept calling him Tyler was perfect. Chuck is amazing. I’m interested to see how Tyler and The Narrator battle this out

I feel like people forget how good of a character Marla is. She really does care about The Narrator and is trying to help but I feel bad because she must be so confused about it all.

This is getting crazy, I completely forgot they turn into terrorists towards the end. I think the reason Tyler isn’t showing up as much is because The Narrator’s two personalities (himself and Tyler) are merging into one and becoming confusing to differentiate between ; Tyler is “naturally” more chaotic and The Narrator is spiralling. I feel so bad for him

Man, Chuck does such a great job. I feel how The Narrator is feeling, how confused and frazzled he is. It’s so stressful but it’s amazing because it’s so easy to get fully immersed. I love the premise of Fight Club (the actual club not the book) I feel like it’s a great way of getting frustration out but I know it wouldn’t work in the real world. I wonder if anyone has tried to replicate it

I’m really enjoying Fight Club so far. Chuck does an excellent job of putting the reader directly inside The Narrator’s mind. The constant flipping between different events and thoughts mirrors how he’s thinking about so many things at once, which makes the story feel chaotic. What makes it amazing is how it’s intentional and it’s just done so well. I can’t wait to read more

I’m enjoying this book. I love how Chuck has written the Narrator. This is exactly how he’s thinking, it’s disorientating, but it’s great. I like how The Narrator is unaware that he is Tyler, it adds more depth to the character, but I don’t think I’m meant to know they’re the same person yet lol. It makes you feel really bad for The Narrator as he’s idolising Tyler so much and putting himself down
