Learning the inspiration for one of, in my opinion, the best chapters in TTTC is yet again fascinating. The truth versus how O'Brien portrayed it for us. He's done it again!
(Chapter: "In The Field", where Kiowa drowns in the shit field. (written here as "drown in a village's common outdoor latrine area". pretty different than "shit field")

As a long-time fan of Tim O'Brien, I can tell I am going to love this book. I want to stretch it out over my lifetime, and read it all tonight. It expands on his past works, and introduces me to new ones. New fav book alert? We shall see
