been enjoying this book but the end is really dragging

weird that she used the simile “like an overripe tomato about to burst” twice

unfortunately a wizard telling me “oh no we’re so high on the magic of casting a crazy spell together we should kiss” would work on me

ok the plot has picked up nicely! this is going better than the previous book i read

oh! a sexual assault subplot!

i put a hold on this at the same time as the disappointing naomi novik book i just finished…..let us hope this one is better
