This book is fucking testing me. How can Mo be so terrible in this one? How could that asshole dismiss his pregnant wife who simply wants to go back to their own world?? Does he really think pregnancy and birth are as safe in a medieval-esque world as in the modern world? Does he know how many women used to die during labour?? He's such a bad father and husband in this one...

Miss Funke, you keep testing me.... Atp I'm only going on bc I loved the first two books so much. Would have DNF'ed it by now if it was a first book in a series. It can still be saved, but man, I'm convinced it won't.
