Road trip. They use bloodmagic to find an idol, and run into Elves faking a haunting, and try to teach them how to be scarier instead.

In the swamp, they are attacked by Werewolves. They hide, but get given away, but Amma has a silver blade. He uses it to defend them and then tells her that she could be free of him, but she points out she’s in a swamp and at risk. He thanks her for having it.

Damien takes her and Kaz on a journey to Eirengaard, and Kaz calls Amma a prostitute. Amma is offended by this, but Damien explains she has lower morals as a thief. He tells Kaz that Amma absorbed the talisman they need at the Capitol, and he will kill he prince they arrive, but must take a detour, which Kaz hates.

Everybody at the temple rushes to serve Damien, and they conjuring an Imp named Kaz. Amma is taken to a small room, given all the amenities and food, but Damien won’t let her leave or talk to anybody, or allow her wine.

They begin the journey to Eirengaard. She notices he’s the Lord of Aszath Koth.

He almost killed her to get the talisman back but the sides to keep her alive as he learns her or origin. She’s just a human trying to get the scroll and he introduces himself as a half demon, and she doesn’t quite believe it at first

Damien throws a bind on her but releases her when he realizes who she is. She steals his talisman and absorbs it, becoming his thrall and passing out. When she wakes, she needs reminding of what just happened. They seem to be stuck together.

Amma is in Aszath Koth looking for Ebon Sanctum Mallor when she hears a kitten mewling pathetically. A dark figure, probably Damien, cast magic in it and it comes back to vigor. She asks for directions to the Sanctum, and he gives her directions to exit the city. An old lady gives her directions and she makes it. It has a lot of illusions as she finds The Scroll of the Army of the Undead & Damien is there first.

Archibald is the Voldemort of this book (so far) and Dominions are the angels that are opposite the demons
