Additionally, I think that Isla is just plain out stupid. She’s so full of herself that she thinks that the fact that she doesn’t have power as the thing that’s going to destroy her when Oro has said multiple times that the hardest part about this game is that they have to pick an aisle that would not do them all if they killed the ruler of it. Her aisle is not in danger of that but she thinks about is herself

And the reason that isla once Cleo Dead. is purely for her own vendetta. How dare she gets mad at Oro for not wanting a huge chunk of his population to die? At the end of the day, he is king and he rules over all of them. It might be hard, but for nightshade to die, it makes so much more sense, considering they are not a part of the island

I don’t like isla. She immediately wants to put all the blame on Cleo when she has no real proof of anything… Only assumptions. She is even informed that Cleo does not want her dead yet every bad thing that happens as apparently Cleo’s fault. In this way, isla is so incredibly immature and not fit to be a ruler because she is selfish and inconsiderate and impulsive

Isla is just such a hypocrite. She always thinks the worst of everyone and she thinks she’s the center of everyone’s story which… She’s not. She thinks Cleo is going to kill her this entire book, but she was never her target or Azuls. She has lied to oro so many times and she expects him to tell her the truth. She probably doesn’t believe anything he says because she knows that she is such a liar

So far, I’m really liking the relationship between Isla and Oro I know from spoilers that Isla and Grim are married, however… Didn’t he wipe her memories so now, it’s like she’s living a new life and in this one she has a chance at love for Oro. I really hope that just because she started off with grim doesn’t automatically mean that she’ll end up with him. I’m tired of shadow daddies
