I’m sooo interested in hearing your thoughts on this one!

I found it so easy to get into and through. One of those books you start reading at 7pm and dont sleep till you finish. I also found it so unsettling as the story and narrative falls apart. But when I was done, I couldn’t help but wonder what the point was

I felt the exact same way and then I realized that everything that happened in the book was actually in the head of the Janitor. A depressed, lonely and suicidal old man. He did meet a girl he liked at a bar during his younger days but nothing else happened and the whole story was a « what if this was my life » thing in his head. This is why there were random things like his mother’s dress changing during dinner at his parents house etc.

Also Jake’s brother was Jake. 😭
