Given the lightness of tone this novel has had so far, I'm assuming that everything will end "well". Lan Tran will discover making donuts by hand, Katrina will learn to love herself, and Shizuka will somehow wiggle out of going to hell without sacrificing Katrina. Given that we have been reintroduced to Miss Tamiko Gohl, and she's not doing well, I'm assuming she'll be the one making the contract.

This is a breath of fresh air tbh. I think I prefer prose that feels more conversational, like instead of being narrated to by a Rod Sterling-esque suit I'm listening to an acquaintance at a coffee shop.
