There are some funny things. Ie: when talking about finally getting credit for an idea she came up with, “Oh thank you, Penised Overlords, for giving me the credit I deserve.” 😂

I love the little tidbits of science in Ali Hazelwood’s books, but the overt message that the FMC is so tiny and feminine and obviously so beautiful despite being SO COUNTERCULTURE in whatever way does drive me nuts. It’s absolutely giving the “makeover” in teen movies where an obvious knockout is a “nerd” until she simply takes off her glasses and stops dry brushing her curly hair.
