I’m so confused about these ark things. They were created by Herric to hurt Zerra, but destroying them is what kills her? Herric wanted Lot to destroy her ark, but she stole it away so she could….destroy it somewhere else??? What am I missing?? Why does none of this make sense to me?

This is so long and so much stuff is happening and now we’re doing another trial?? Couldn’t we have tweaked it a bit and had a new book start for this? I fear this is going to be rushed now.
