So graphic.
Kainene’s use of language makes her my favourite character, despite the otherwise boring situations we find her in.
Maybe that’s the point, to really highlight the contrast between her and her sister, particularly at this point in the book.

This was an impressively slow start and entirely my own fault.
I read 3 or 4 other books purely because this is a paperback and didn’t want to carry/ potentially damage it.
But now it’s messy so I’m invested.
