The step brother subplot and false accusation is annoying me to no end

Knowing that Brand used to get fucked senseless by Jackson to “scratch that itch”, I wanted it to be Hugo topping their first time... it’s not something I usually care about and being verse is great but teasing that Brand bottoms and not give it to us? I mean there’s something about the smaller younger man doing the fucking of the older stoic man and making him lose control. Like we don’t even that?… pff

The writing is just not good…

Ugh it’s very hard to enjoy this book. I could DNF.. but I hate to DNF and idk is it bad enough to stop?

So the thing is… it’s not terrible, like if I really try to imagine the scenes I can sort of feel it. But I think the writing is the problem. It’s not taking me on the ride, like it’s hard work to try to feel it
