Finally learned the whole story of Jude, WTF, I seriously need to have a conversation w Hanya and ask what they had going on when writing this and if they’re okay mentally. Just finished “The Good Years” and is Willem fuckin dead now wtf and Judy is legless??!!?! god it keeps getting harder

Willem is a saint truly, JUDE why why why have they done these things to you god

This was the toughest section of the book for me by far, I felt almost nauseous as I turned through the pages and I only wish I could reach through and take Jude away from the things happening to him. It all started when JB mocked his movements but getting to Caleb my god he was fuckin evil like my stomach hurts now. And hearing about Jude’s “client” jesus christ man

Just started Chapter 3 which seems to shift focus to JB, who we haven’t heard from in quite some time. He has become fat and addicted to heroin! WTF can no one in this story be happy also Jude breaks my heart so much at the end of chapter 2 he’s afraid for Willem of all people to “see him as he truly is” those priests did a number on him and I HATE them for it

Part 3, Vanities, seems to be mainly focused on Willem and by extension Jude again. Because for Willem Jude is a necessity and vice versa, I don’t think they could exist without each other

Jude finally saw the ‘forbidden pictures’ and he felt betrayed by JB and for that their friendship suffered. Also Henry apparently is in love with Malcom I think I’m not sure if it’s him but I think it is? I will find out soon either way

Part 2, The Postman, is Jude’s story so far. We’ve learned most of what happened in his past and maybe we won’t know what exactly happened between him and Brother Luke but that might be for the best. It’s painful to read because it’s real that shit could be happening to anyone and you’d never know. Tough chapter

Part 1 finished, this at first seemed like it might be a bit of a trudge to get through but after getting to know the core 4 you become invested in what they got going on. I need to know what Jude is suffering from, what causes him to be so closed off from what seems like a tight group of friends.

Starting to get acquainted with the core group of characters now excited for the journey!
