Porfiry is introduced to Raskolnikov, they discuss Rodyas article in the newspaper regarding: ordinary and extraordinary people and their relationship with the law. Porfiry is a very smart character and is quite suspicious of Rodya. He attempts to trick him into revealing knowledge about the night of the murder which only the murder would know. Instead, rodya was aware enough to recognise this trap from Porfiry.

Raskolnikov attempts to save marmeldovs life. He’s met with gratitude from the man’s family. On his way home he stops by Razumikhin’s house. Razumikhin walks him home discussing how zoimsov and zamyotov are suspicious of Raskolnikov and believe he’s insane.
Upon arriving to Raskolnikovs home, they discover the light in his room is on, to which it’s found to only be his mother and sister. The last he expects

Raskolnikov is falling deeper and deeper into despair. Giving way to his anger, inner thoughts and how far he can toe line with his secret.
Spending 3 or 4 days in and out of consciousness, scarcely recognising who had been visiting him. He meets his sisters fiancé and immediately questions his intentions. Raskolnikov shoves his friends help back in his face. He also may as well have admitted to Zosimov his crime.

The other version of crime and punishment in this app believes that I am 47% of the way through the book, despite being on page 143. The book is at least 650 pages in length.
