I don’t know whether to feel bad for the dad or if I should hate him.
In one way I empathise with him. He is very much like my own father. Time is all there is, and if you’re gonna waste it, you are not needed here. But on the other hand it’s still not an excuse to treat others like they’re worth nothing more than a few minutes.

Jag kan inget annat än tycka synd om alla inblandade. Som nämnt tidigare så förstår jag hur det känns att växa upp runt oförutsägbarhet.
Nu blir det lite extra tydligt, när han tar upp hur de varit tvungna att trippa på tå runt sin mamma för att inte uppröra henne.
Men utöver detta så glädjer det mig att det verkar gå åtminstone lite bättre i deras relation desto närmre slutet man kommer.

I feel really bad for him…
The pressure of needing to please your parents ALL the time can truly be awful and that I can relate to.
Also, it can’t be easy to lose your parent to alcohol like that…
