Really interesting advice. Austin says the best manager is someone who gets you and buys into your vision. Very Robert Baratheon coded in what he said.

Manon is so funny, he was not happy with shows being organised shabbily and started his own live nights and he made sure everything and everyone was on time. lol people like that are so funny and cute with all their orderliness.

Really like Austin and relate to his views. Being nosy, asking questions, until you find others above you seeking your opinion to question how you shape processes and decisions e.g. why are we broadcasting this, why this event? I worked in marketing for many years in my first role, so I really enjoy how Austin’s mind works.

He’s really given so much back. What a man, honestly. “We know where we’re from. We’re from a place where no one is coming to help us. We know as young black people from the ends that we are at a disadvantage. We’ve known that for a long time. And if you know that, and you come from it, don’t continue it. Break the cycle.”

Oh, wow, I love that Stormzy, a musician, achieved the best grades in his school and was actually offered help to apply for Cambridge or Oxford if he liked. I am also really enjoying the mention of all these London locations.

Stormzy is so lovely. He could have gotten an established writer with experience to write this but he chose a writer who hadn’t written a book yet. He really is about uplifting people isn’t he.
