Geez, I know how it ends and yet I am still so freaking tense!!!!! The words on the page haven't changed since the last time I read it, so why am I scared!! I'm at 93%, just breathe and read thru squinted eyes, lol.

I'm glad I'm doing a re-read for many reasons, the biggest reason as it turns out is due to how much I'd forgotten. I thought I remembered the story well, and I do, but the nitty gritty, it's like reading the book again for the 1st time.

I am an emotional wreck. Rocky will have my heart forever. The way he talks about not being able to build something, and not science smart but engineer smart, and he's been ALONE!! I just can't express how hard it is to see him so sad and down.

Doing a re-read because the book came up recently and it's been a while, plus the movie is coming out soon. I want to enjoy the story in its pure form before potentially being ruined by cinema.

Wow, this was really good, fun, and tense. I, eh-hem, jumped to the end to see what happens then went back and read the rest. This is a very interesting plot and like in The Martian heavy on science speak but mostly they dumb it down in the next sentence. This would make for an interesting limited series tv show. Hollywood, call me up if you want to do it right. ;)

I only read it six months ago but I’m sure I’ve already forgotten a lot of what I admired about it. My heart was definitely in my throat towards the end there. I’m excited to see what they’ve done with this upcoming film adaptation.
There are so many tense moments!I think if you read it again, it will all come back. I may have forgotten stuff, but as soon as I read it, I remembered, lol.
I'm excited, but scared, scared, scared for the movie. I just hope it was treated with the respect and awe it deserves. The Martian was adapted very well, I thought. The book was certainly funnier, but there are things that are hard to replicate to screen, but they did a good job.
I can’t wrap my puny brain around HOW they’re gonna pull off the adaptation, but I have faith because I LOVE the Martian film as much as the book, so I’m hoping it’s up to par.

Ugh, books like that are rough on the job, haha. I wish the audio for The Martian and Project Hail Mary were available outside Audible. I bet they are amazing.
Yeah, the audios are laugh out loud funny at times and heart-in-your-throat exciting other times. Good stuff.
