As a long-standing fan of meta fiction, this novel is right up my alley. I have an idea who the killer is and am posting this for personal posterity. If I am correct, then I can look back and note with satisfaction that I made a sweeping announcement confirming my suspicions to whosoever might be reading this. If I’m wrong, then I can look back and recognize the brilliance of Horowitz’s red herrings. Win-win
