2.5☆ It was good. But I was waiting for it to be great. It was sweet, wholesome, and cute. But it was too on the nose. Like the author didn't trust us to understand what he meant so he made it overly clear leaving very little of the meaning up for interpretation. I also think 50-100 pages less would have worked in its favor.

Only early 2000s kids are gonna understand this (and I may be getting ahead of myself) but do you all remember that show on Cartoon Network “Foster’s home for imaginary friends”? So far, that’s what this book is alluding to.
