also i just wanna say… i love it when im rightbut i REALLY wish miss roberts would’ve surprised me with SOMETHING i couldn’t have predicted within the first quarter of the book..
i guess k***’s death was a liiiittle surprising but it felt like a cop out..
and most of those diary entries at the end from kitt and the chapters from daddy’s perspective truly should’ve been cut out of the book. it’s insulting you think your readers are so stupid that they need the character’s feelings explained word for word like that. anyone with reasonable reading comprehension and empathy can INFER nearly everything they said in their POV chapters. you didn’t have to say “i hated kai because he was more powerful than me and not of my own blood” we ALREADY got that when it was revealed he was a bastard?? idk this book could’ve been 200 pages shorter and i hate when authors think their audience is stupid.
and KAIs father wasnt the king.. bc of their different eye colors. thats defo it
