Book one was better. I’m a little doubtful that all of Jude’s efforts for Oak is as good of an idea. How can he be properly prepared to be king when he’s being raised outside of the world?

Jude is stubborn to the bone. And deeply insecure. It’s pretty clear that Cardan’s obsessed with her, but rather than believing in that. She uses her hold over him to command. It makes sense given the character written. Solid story so far something’s definitely gonna go down during Taryn’s wedding.
