The time he spends with Nicki is so short, all in all :( Also, the first part of the book will never fail to make me emotional. Just a child who wants so desperately to be good. And then, later, his insistence to Nicki that art IS good, that they are doing good with music and acting. And Nicki won’t accept that :(
