Uh...overall a good message, he frustrates me though by trying to make God seem like a teddy bear.

God doesn't punish people, he only disciplines? Uh, yeah, he absolutely does punish. Canaanite conquest?!!

It's unfortunate people convert because they're afraid of God? Uh, no, that's awesome. Fear BEGINS wisdom.

God's not a teddy bear. Aslan is not a tame lion. God is way bigger and better than that.

Great - except for the parts that are really, really bad.

He clearly has an agenda against certain types of Christianity that he is jamming into chapters and it's annoying. It's not relevant to the actual point of the book, and on top of that he does a bloody awful job of arguing it anyway. 🙄

This some weak sauce atm...define your terms my guy.

Also the first 3 chapters have such an obvious logical contradiction he doesn't acknowledge.

I guess we'll see if bro locks in...

Claire mmmmm 👌 The juxtaposition of his deep love and grace and righteous anger and justice is a mystery. Salvation needs both recognition of fear and of that deep love/grace. It is incomplete without both.
