What a dragging end, unfortunately

It strikes me that one of the strengths - and weaknesses - of it is that the author seems to be struggling through so many of the thoughts, feelings and revelations of its characters. I still find it long, but it is immersive, even if clumsy. There’s so much she wants to say, and she frequently does, in fact, say it.

It’s bold, but shaky. Seems full of promise - and of false starts or of thoughts that dwindle.
