I'm actually getting cross with the people who've been telling me for years that Fanny Price is inspid and weak and annoying. Like, guys, I think she's a teenager with low self-esteem who's been abused and neglected into being a people pleaser. If you think she's unrelatable, must be nice to have never been bullied like that, I guess? No Austen heroine suffered more, she's my sweet daft girl and she's trying.
