uh oh, girlypop found her new girly. In all seriousness this new person as a hyper fixation seems dangerous for Eileen with her (already) disturbing tendences and thoughts.

"It also concerned me that my demise would have no great impact, that I could blow my head off and people would say, That's all right. Let's get something to eat." I hate that Eileen is relatable. I hate that I sympathize for her. She's vile. Disgusting. but so very human.

Eileen...is so complex...and I'm not really sure exactly how to feel about her. I hate her misogyny and fantasies of rape, but I also have sympathy for her own SA as a child (but it's fine if it's a handsome man?)- I understand where it's coming from but it is also fine for me to still think that kind of thinking is deplorable.

Eileen is a femcel through and through and her ideologies/fantasies are really quite gross.

Eileen is such a...complex woman. One moment she's kind of relatable (and even then its a stretch)- the next she completely lost me. Its easy to gloss over her bad taste in men, general grossness, and her internalized homophobia- bc of her attraction to children.
"I was not immune to those boys either." - insane statement to make about the children you work with. I was not expecting a pedophile. 💀

Eileen Dunlop is a average looking 24 year old prude of a woman, working as a secretary at a private juvenile correctional facility for teenage boys (a prison for children), but she is quite different than the way she outwardly presents. Interested in the macabre and a deeply angry person, she wishes for her alcoholic fathers death or a lobotomy for herself.
Honestly, what a start to a book! I'm already hooked.
