Out of This World done!
So this is how we’re wrapping up the egyptian cult plot line? ehhhh.
There was one particular depiction of this Selina in this issue that made me go “ew wtf”. Man i really don’t like this art style.
Overall, a typical escape from an arranged marriage story while also being a disappointing end to a built up storyline.

Cold Hard Facts done!
I haven’t read the previous issues of war games but it was nice being sort of caught up in what was going on. I enjoyed the Selina & Steph dynamic. It’s a shame what Steph is dealing with too. Considering there are only the catwoman issues i won’t see how this ends but i’m not really fussed about it.

A pretty good issue showing us the perspectives of people lives affected by the Galante mafia & as well the mafia henchman themselves. We also got to see Selina really show these scumbags what happens when the East End is meddled with.

Only Takes a Night done!
Some wonderful Bruce & Selina moments in this issue. The art was gorgeous but it’s criminal we’re going back to Gulacy & Palmiotti after this. We learn some interesting things about Holly here & everyone’s feelings about Selina’s disappearance. It was written really well to the point where i could the feel the void the cast was dealing with.

End of the Line done!
Damn that was an amazing fight regardless of what i think of the artstyle. The colours really popped here. Zeiss’s backstory was interesting as well as his run as an antagonist too. Just give Selina a break. That broken arm made me cringe (as well as all the crap she was put through) & i’m not even a squeamish person like that.

Miss Calculating done!
Zeiss finally shows his cunning brutality & how outmatched Selina is albeit still determined for justice as always. My favourite part of issue this was the Dex & Slam relationship.

Night Moves done!
I enjoyed the Batcat interaction as well as the parts in the hospital. Selina is also finally getting close to figuring out Zeiss & the next step in her plan. A solid issue so far.

A Knife In The Dark Done!
I’m enjoying reading Catwoman trying to “run” the East End. The alleytown gang is now her eyes & ears. However, it ends up biting her in the back as more chaos ensues at the hand of Philo Zeiss, who i’m interesting in seeing Selina interact with. In all honesty, when i saw Holly & Slam i told myself that’s not them 😭. I’ll just have to get used to the art.

Well i’m not really a fan of losing Cameron Stewart’s art for the rest of this run 🫠. Gulacy & Palmiotti’s art is by no means bad but the charm & the uniqueness of the previous issues are lost & some characters look unfortunately not like themselves & generic. The story here isn’t bad but i’m hoping we get back to the egyptian cult plot soon.

Wild Ride concluded!
The mystery of the road trip is unravelled and it’s the sweetest thing Selina could’ve done for Holly. She’s reunited with her brother & Holly has been the soul of this journey she’s been on through this whole arc. Selina growth throughout this entire book has really shone through. Plus, we see the Hawks & that was really fun! We got more info about the Beti-Ma too.
