As and American I have long wanted to learn more about WWI up to WWII in Europe and Germany. What a better way to learn than to read a mystery set as the first war ends. Looking at things through a German soldiers' eyes is strange but authentic feeling.

T. Rosado I’m always interested in this time in history—early to mid 20th century, especially the years between WW1 and WW2. I’ve mostly read US historical accounts. I was reading the blurbs and a few reviews of the books in this series and Hitler’s rise to power makes even more sense to me when learning about the chaos in Germany after WW1. As interesting as these sound though, I’m not sure I want to go there mentally right now. I’ll be curious about your thoughts after you’re finished.

Merry I find this part of history so confusing and active as the whole map of Europe changes. Hopefully some good research and mystery. Will write up my thoughts as this is an ARC even though it has be out a while. I picked it due to the subject.
