An unexpected bonus to a tightly-bound hardcover: there's little chance of the book opening and the pages getting damaged when your cat decides to knock it off the table because it's past your bedtime and you should be snuggling up with him and the book in bed instead of playing a game on your phone. 😼

But then he turns around and gives the perfect reason for DNF a book that I've seen yet:
"Bad enough to die from reading a gorgeously written book, but what if it turned out to be rubbish? Being killed by bad prose would only add insult to injury."
So he's being an monkey's anus, but he still gets our pain. #conflictedemotions
