one thing i hate about books is when the mc’s parents glaze and talk about how good their love interest is. in here, the fmc’s mama is going on about how good gray is and how even tho his job is dangerous, they would feel safe cause he’s dangerous like no. also it was taking to long for them to interact like can we see you both love one another!?
