Having been acquainted with his philosophy through his introductions to a Nietzsche anthology and an existentialism reader, I expected to enjoy Kaufmann – but I am LOVING this book. Kaufmann is a master of understating his insights. He never dwells on a point for the sake of completeness. His writing reminds me very much of Bernard Williams for its clarity, concision, and perspicacity.
