The things that nags at my brain is the question of Circe’s needs. I understand mortal needs. Her som is a demigod… yet he needs food, will die, needs sleep, etc. So a god doesn’t need those things, right? Apparently not. She eats and sleeps. She can feel physical pain. She will live forever? Yes. He will not? No. I like clearer roles. I feel like I don’t understand her limitations.

“Two children he had had, and he had not seen either clearly. But perhaps no parent can truly see their child. When we look, we see only the mirror of our own faults.” Eww on that last part. No.

“A thousand years i had lived, but they did not feel so long as [my son’s] childhood.” Lol #boymom

As a mom, this is pretty funny. A goddess raising a human child. Lol

Yeesh. The lack of description generally has been a good thing for these last sections!

The f-word has come up exactly twice thus far. Both instances are used to reference copulation with divine bovine. Just an interesting stat.

Natalie Wright If it helps: Circe and the other gods do not need to eat or sleep, but they like to do so because it is pleasurable to do so. She as a god does not age and cannot die.

Her son is a demigod because of his parentage but he is also still a mortal. So he has all mortal needs, will age, can die, etc. He might just have a few divine “gifts.”

Cece Right. Im trying to suspend disbelief but i have a lot of boring, practical questions lol “if they eat, do they need a bathroom? Undignified. They have periods? No menopause if they dont age. Do they age to peak health and then stop? Because gods are born babies too. Which was the first god and why arent there so so many more if they live so long and have such hearty appetites?”
