Perry could have so easily just been the dead boyfriend but this book really makes him a fully realized character, like I actually care about Perry and feel sad that he died. I also like that it somehow makes it feel like R and Perry are friends even though R ate his brains.

Look I know I only write about the weird shit that happens in this book but honestly it does have some really deep moments that get to me. R is such a romantic and sweet zombie that’s stuck in a body that won’t fully let him express himself yet somehow still finds ways to connect with Julie and it’s really sweet.
Can’t believe the boneys literally just nicklebacked R with that “look at this photograph.”

Well I guess the whole married issue is now a non issue because R just caught his wife having “sex” with another zombie. I will say zombie “sex” is honestly kinda gross but mostly just depressing like I get why R literally has 0 interest in having it considering you literally cannot feel anything. The car scene in the book is so much more funnier in the book than in the movie.

When your friend won’t share his extra brains with you so you lock yourself in a bathroom stall to pout 😔.
Also confirmed R definitely a dead beat dad and he’s only been a father for like 2 days.

I’m sorry are you telling me that R got a zombie girlfriend that took him to zombie church then got zombie married then a day later zombie adopted two zombie children?
Well I understand why the movie decided not to keep that part of the story but I am very curious to see where this zombie family plot is going. Is he going to have an affair with Julie? Is his wife going to die? Is R going to be a dead beat dad?
