It’s nice that the story is about an interracial couple in the 1920s when it was illegal for them to be wed because it really gives them an actual problem that they have to navigate. I feel like many romance stories tend to have stupid and contrived problems but luckily this is not the case for this one. The fact that old lesbian couple living together gives them hope that they can somehow be together is so sweet.

Look I know this is the third book in the series but they are kinda standalone and this one had a boat in it so honestly I couldn’t help myself. I rarely ever read smut books but this was set in a supernatural 1920s and it had boats which are two of my weaknesses. So far honestly it’s not the worst the story is super basic and still has some fun moments my biggest complaint is that the boat is barely there );.

Every scene with Raksh is a delight! He’s definitely my fave with Amina being a close second. Also every scene with Raksh and Amina is the best they are so funny together.

I really hope just want Amina to tell Raksh they have a child together like I gotta know how he’ll react.

What a fun ride so far honestly really love the supernatural bits in the story and I know Amina hates the supernatural but I cannot wait for her to encounter more.

I changed my mind it’s got to be Amina’s ex husband that’s back and giving information to the frank. Also special note to my friend Matt but I feel like he’s going to be your fav character if he’s in fact not dead.

We’re getting the whole crew back together! Also I have a theory on who leaked information.

Spoilers possibly! I have a feeling that the one crew member who is dead is somehow alive.

Boat!

I love Arabic settings so this is really scratching my itch for it. So far loving this book!

If the rest of the crew is anything like Dalila then I am very excited to meet all of Amina’s pals.

Honestly these last couple chapters have been a bit heartbreaking.

To see someone you know suffering on screen knowing that suffering is partially real or at least once was would be so imaginably hard.

The husband coming to the beach and telling his girls “This was the place that I first saw Duke (wife’s ex boyfriend) do a handstand.” Like Joe please this is not your story and honestly I don’t why you keep bringing it up.

I teared up twice 🥹 also husband reveal! Never saw it coming.

Well I wasn’t expecting global warming to be a minor villain in this story, colour me surprised.

I like that even though the romance story happened many years ago her daughters are finding ways to give perspective on these people she thought she knew better. Honestly reminds me of talking to my friends.

I like that this story feels very grounded. I find it interesting that this tale of romance that this mother is telling them isn’t really for her as she’s moved on from this man long ago but is more for her daughters who could learn something from this story.

This book makes me want to pick cherries at a cherry farm and if that ain’t propaganda then I don’t know what is.

Jimmy-George fucks teenage girls. Every book I read lately has one fucking creep I wish I could kill.

So far this book feels very warm and cozy, I’m surprisingly enjoying it.

First time ever reading a book like this it’ll be a big experiment for me.

Literally every meeting with Daphne and Silas is just the sweetest it warms my little heart. Hope everything ends well for them at the end.

I had a feeling the viscounts son was actually a girl with the way the book kept mentioning how beautiful she was and I’m so glad I’m right it was really touching seeing Silas bond with Daphne.

Finally at the school and by gods the torture poor Silas is going to have to go through like I can already tell it will be a lot. Very interesting can’t wait to get to know the other students there.

Ooh I love the first ghost page it’s a great opener. Excited for Sylis to get to the school, so much mystery is waiting!

Their friendship is so beautiful 🥹. I love how they’ve grown especially Margery, Enid was there for Margery at her weakest and now Margery is there for Enid at her weakest. I really hope it ends with them living together and Enid stays as Margery’s assistant.

I love that Margery is shocked every time Enid admits to committing crimes especially since she does it so often, I wonder what her reaction will be when she finds out Enid killed her husband.

I kinda forgot to add this book to my current reading list 😅. Honestly so far it’s been greatly helpful for me though I will say I did skip a few steps in this book but I don’t think that really changed anything. I still got a ways to go but I’ve noticed improvements in my daily life.

I honestly feel bad for the Villain in this story even though he’s definitely creepy like this guy needs therapy and to be told he has dyslexia he’d be doing so much better.
