Okay so I definitely read one of Matt’s update for this a long time ago mentioning that one of the characters is all in Samantha’s head so I hope that’s not a major destroying spoiler that ruins the story for me.

After that long 830 page journey I needed something more light so Matt convinced me this was it. Super excited honestly seems right up my ally.

why is it that every time I see Wintrows POV it’s just him being tortured? Like leave him alone! The crew of the vivacia suck ass I have zero respect for those pathetic assholes.

I think Wintrow might end up being my favourite along with Kennit but I’ll wait a bit and see for sure either way love that boy.

Okay so I have a silly theory but I wonder if Amber is actually wizard wood. She’s just described so often looking like wood that I can’t get it out of my head.

The Paragon has such a sad history! It honestly makes me question if having live ships is very ethical, not that it really matters in a fictional setting.

Kyle is seriously talking about how selfish Althea is when he literally said just before that, that his own opinion matters more than anyone else’s. This man is a fucking moron who’s never looked in the mirror once in his entire life. I can’t blame Althea at this point from distancing herself from the family they all want her married when that’s not what she wants. I get why Ronica did it butIdon’t agree.

Not surprised Kennit is fine with slavery considering he wants to be a pirate king, wonder if that’ll change when he attacks the slave ships.

So many characters, yet somehow they all fascinate me! Cannot wait to see where they all go though I think Kennit is by far my favourite so far, he’s such a funny guy.

First chapter done and dame what a great start I’m a hundred percent on board with Kennit what an overconfident prick, I love him for it.

I know I was going to read one other book before I read this one but I really just need a book that I can get lost in. I know this book will be the perfect escape.

I think this is the first romance I’ve ever seen where the main character and love interest do not want kids.

There is a restaurant in this book called Poppa Squat and I’m so sad to learn that there isn’t some guy named Poppa last name Squat running it, even an old guy named papa Squat would have made me happy. It’s not like I ask for much.
