Oooooo okay, now we get to go back in time and see how they first met. So far, I don't think Famine was originally so cruel or that he even had intended to majorly hurt anyone at all. It seems like he became this way after humans, realizing he was a horseman of the apocalypse, captured and tortured him in an attempt to stop the end of the world. He seems to have quite the trauma.

CHAPTER 24 WAS MY FAVORITE CHAPTER IN THIS WHOLE SERIES. The ball, Ana's dress, the massacre, THE WAY ANA EXPLODED AT THIS MAN AND TOLD HIM TO STOP WHINING. AGHHH I LOVED IT ALL I NEED MORE!!!

There was this massive build up leading to what happened to Famine in the past. They spent so much time constantly bringing up his trauma and KILLING me with curiosity. And then it was just...that. I mean, it was sad of course but I expected that. It was too plain. Unless they explain it in more detail later in the book? I hope they do because that was a little stale for the hype.

So far things are moving much more quickly than in the other books. I already love Famine's personality and how he literally just doesn't care about anything. I also love Ana more than the other female protagonists. And of course I always love Death so it was fun that he made his appearance so early in the story.
