I hate when female characters do this. You go out of your way to constantly not understand someone and then every second be huffing and puffing about the fact that you don’t understand them..? They annoy you a little bit and you forget to humanise them and suddenly you’re surprised that they have a tragic backstory well fucking duh!

Also, unpopular opinion because quite contradictory to my love for Torj but I low-key would have loved an enemies to lovers between Wren and Xavier. Is Xavier annoying? Yes. Have we been building Torj and Wren for 4 books? Yes but I wouldn’t have hated a spin off of Torj finding a lover and Wren getting with Xavier.

I need Wren to let tf up! She’s just sooo aggy for no reason like bruh the man hasn’t even ever done anything to you fr and she’s so indignant. Is he a brute? Yes but you’re also an annoying as hell and giving me a headache. Grieve yes but why are you a walking grenade?!

Let it be known that I’m only reading this for Torj and to get crumbs of Wilder, Thea, Kipp and Cal. I unfortunately do not care much for Wren (mfc). I didn’t like her in the legends series and even though I understand her grief I’ve just never been able to connect with her as a character and I’m still not connecting with her so far.
