This book feels like an embodiment of Duvet Boa. Especially the lines, "And you don't seem to understand. A shame you seemed an honest man."

"East Gladness" sounds like a city where the climate is perennially warm and you can hear as many tiny insects scurrying at night into their home as you lie in bed in yours, contemplating on your long yet stagnant day, trying to fall asleep.
