Same, I've been so excited to read it and now I'm completely turned off...

We really can't have anything 😩I was so excited for it and I love the new cover, but I only heard the worst things lately.

i've been trying to edit or remove my review since we texted about it & still can't ☹️ pls tell me the situation hasn't gotten worse

Yup. You can’t even remove it from want to read lists. I put in a support ticket cause I thought that was a lot and they told me they’ve disabled all activity on Mia Ballards books temporarily to maintain review integrity… 🙄

Frankie's Shelf on youtube does a really good breakdown of their thoughts regarding the allegations AND the book itself, they managed to get the original self pub'd version before it was pulled, if you're interested!

We really can't. I was kind of refusing to believe the allegations at first because I've seen an uptick of AI accusations just because people don't like the way someone writes but then the author commented on a youtube video discussing the AI stuff and the statement was so weird and not something I think someone would say if they simply hadn't written their book with AI.

No updates! I just saw someone talking about it on here and remembered I wanted to edit my review 😭

Oh god yeah I saw the Frankie's Shelf video and I believe 100% AI was used during the process of writing it. I just want to remove my review Goodreads please 😭😭😭

goodreads wanting to protect the integrity of the reviews...meanwhile Mia is out her stealing art & throwing someone else under the bus for the use of ai on her book hmmm interesting.

I really feel so beyond stupid that I didn't pick up on it when I read it last year and same! I don't believe readers wanting to edit or even remove their reviews messes with the "review integrity" like GR told Ghoulfriend_pls 🙄

I showed my friend the original art piece and then the original (heavy quotations there lmfao) cover of Shy Girl and she was like "That's the same picture?" like AHHHHH I KNOW WHAT THE ACTUAL FFFFFFFF

It's pretty bad 😭 I started watching it kinda mad at first tbh because I was like we can't be accusing everyone of writing with AI just because they have a weird writing style or we just don't like that author or whatever but the longer I watched the more I was like well now wait a minute, points are being MADE
