How have I not updated my thoughts on this since completing 28 percent? Wow! So, this book is a major realization of truth. A perfect example used to hopefully humble readers when we have supposed that we knew the truth about something, to encourage us to consider that in most cases - even widely broadcast, thoroughly researched, and widely renowned situations - we've just begun to scratch the surface.

Mitch Albom is hands down one of my favorite authors. Books on slavery and the Holocaust are really hard for me, but I am engaged by this story, as well as the family and characters that are telling it here.
